In addition to the wonderful experience of working with these girls, we also offer (through the kind assistance of New Balance, one of our corporate sponsors) each Head Coach receives discounts on New Balance running shoes and running apparel.

Requirements for The Head Coach:

  • Become CPR/First Aid certified
  • Submit Child Abuse & Criminal Record clearances
  • Attend full day Coaches' Training
  • Attend pre-season Coaches' Meeting, plus two other meetings spaced throughout the season
  • Prepare for and supervise 24 - 1 hour long lessons in a manner consistent with the GOTR philosophy and curricula
  • Plan and coordinate the end of season banquet
  • Run/walk  with the girls in the 5K run/walk

Requirements for The Assistant Coach (or coaches):

  • Submit Child Abuse & Criminal Record clearances
  • Attends each lesson
  • Assist the girls, offering encouragement, participating in games and workouts
  • Generally the cheerleader for the team.
  • They may also choose to attend the scheduled meetings and other events.
